Less than 2 weeks away!!

Hi everyone, the wedding is less than 2 weeks away and we’re really excited to see all of you soon!

If there is any confusion over where everything is, the ceremony is at the Brooklyn Bridge Park, also called Empire-Fulton Ferry Park, on the Brooklyn side of the East River between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. Our ceremony is in the "city section" (see map below) of Brooklyn Bridge Park closer to the Manhattan Bridge side of the park along the steps. The entrance is at the end of Main Street. We are planning on putting up some balloons or markers at the entrance gate.

If you can't make it to the ceremony in time for any reason, the reception will be held at Galapagos Art Space, located at 16 Main Street at the corner of Main & Water Street, about 200 feet from the park entrance on the same block. We are hoping for clear, sunny skies, but IN CASE OF RAIN the ceremony will be held at the reception venue, Please call us at (917) 554-0295 or (917) 583-1300 if you have any questions.

The Invitations Are Out!

By now everyone should have received their invitations. If anything was missing from any of them or if you have any questions, feel free to comment on this post or e-mail us at sklar.hall@gmail.com, or you can call us at (917) 554-0295 & (917) 583-1300. We hope to see all of you there!

Parking:

For those driving straight to the ceremony at Brooklyn Bridge Park who may have trouble finding street parking, there are a few parking garages you can use close by. The closest garage is the Kwik Parking Garage at 45 Main St. (between Front & Water St). This is right up the block on the same street as the entrance to the park as well as the Galapagos Art Space, where the reception is being held. It costs around $25 for up to 10 hours. There is another Kwik Parking Garage on Adams St. between Front & Water St.

A cheaper garage is MPG Parking on Jay St. between York & Front St (about 4 blocks east of the park entrance) and should only cost about $12 for up to 10 hours.

Hotel Options

A lot of hotels have great rates right now, so it's a good idea to book early. If rates improve, you can always re-book. Here are some options that are convenient to Dumbo.

Brooklyn Marriott - This is the closest hotel to Dumbo and is within walking distance of the wedding. It is on a busy and not too exciting street in Downtown Brooklyn, but it's convenient and easy to get to.

Hotel Reserve - This is a new hotel in the financial district with reasonable rates. It is easy to get from over to Brooklyn on either the ferry, or by taxi. (More on that later)

Club Quarters - Also in the financial district.

Hotel Nu - This is a new hotel in a more interesting area of Brooklyn than the Marriott. It is not within walking distance of the wedding, but it is very close to a subway that takes you directly to Dumbo.
